Triple H, October 2011:

“When I grew up, I hated Hogan. I thought he was terrible and didn’t like to watch him. I was like Punk in a way. I liked the Steamboats and Flairs and the ones that could go. Would I be right in saying that Hogan was the wrong guy to go with, and they should’ve changed directions and gone with Steamboat because he was the better wrestler? Ludicrous.” - Triple H. The History of the WWF Championship

The History of the WWF Championship
As requested, the next series of posts will be in this format; actually, there’s a storyline fit for a look back at most of these belts, but as opposed to putting these lists within that form, I’ll do it like this for easier reference access.

If you’re looking for XXII, note that now, the most recent events are at the bottom on the right hand side, as I’ve archived everything in order. I’ve also labeled the events, so if you click the arrows, you’ll see the event that is posted. Further, after each event there are labels, so you can do with those what you will.

Summer Slam ’06 will be posted no later than August, probably with two posts to build the show. Traditionally, of course, Summer Slam is the weakest Counterfactual show, as it’s where we have access to the fewest workers.

Nonetheless, I’ve got a WWF Title matchup that few of you will expect, we’ll keep building to the big Edge/Matt HIAC match at XXIII, and one of the biggest angles in Counterfactual history is closing in on us. It’ll be a good time.

I see all of these coming posts as highlight packages, with either clips of the match, or, if say the match didn’t actually take place, clips or stills of the wrestler in question. They should be long packages, the kinds of things you’d download from youtube. Had I more technological inclination, of course, I could actually put such a package together.

But I’m only one man. And I do, you know, have a job and stuff.
